As of Tuesday, residents of Florida are allowed to carry around guns for self defense. As the state of Florida says that any person "has the right to stand his or her ground, and meet force with force..." This allows any person in Florida to own a gun for self defense and not only keep it at their house, but bring it with them on walks and in the car or at work. This is a new state-wide strategy so that Floridians may defend themselves more often. This was passed in the Senate 94-20.

I agree with this law somewhat. It is fine for any citizen to have a gun for self defense if they are sane. I believe there first must be a background check and a psycology check by a doctor to see if that person is able to own a gun for self defense.
