A New Face for Politics

Obama has raised 58.5 million dollars in the first six months of the year leading up to his election. This was record breaking. Hilary Clinton came close with 53 million dollars. The race has become tough as of June 30, 2007. Obama has 36.2 million dollars in the bank and Hilary has 45 million dollars in the bank. Obama has shown people his fundraising strength. During the second quarter he got 360,000 per day. 260,000 people this year have made donations to Obama. Obama has received donations from many different companies, people, and firms. They compare the donations received by Obama and his competitors.
I felt that this article was very interesting because Obama is the first African American to run in the Presidential elections. He also has received the most donations from people and many different companies. I feel that this is a breakthrough in American politics.

I believe that the effort seen by Obama in the course of raising money for his presidential campaign, signifies his capabilities of being a well qualified candidate. As stated in the article, Senator Obama now has raised more than his rival, Hillary Clinton, by a good 5.5 million, and continues to collect an average of $360,000 a day. I am amazed at how much dedication he puts into his campaign, and am sure that he'll do well in the Presidential Election of 2008.

brilliant. this post was very enlightening. Go Obama, i look up to him for having the balls to run for president in this disgustingly racist and prejudice country. I think he has a good chance and i would be happy to see an african american win the presidency to show that white people (george bush) aren't all that amazing.

Because of so many donations, I feel that the public is swaying towards a new era. We may finally break the trend of educated white men. The polls favor both Hilary and Obama so either victory will mark a memorable landmark for U.S. politics. From here, the U.S. can truly be more democratic and not follow the status quo and discriminate against gender and races for the presidency.

i agree completely and think that along with everyone else, Obama is an excellent candidate for president. I think that since he has raised so much money for his campaign and apparently has alot of support, he shows great potential and should be able to win over the states. i hope he wins so he can show bush what being a president is all about :D

This article was able to demonstrate that Obama is putting so much time and effort to raise money, and he sure is doing a good job for it. This also shows that he has the heart and the dedication to become the president and he is willing to work hard for it. He is able to show that he has the courage to do what he has done and he is proving to the people that he can do this.

this is probably what is going to make people realized that anyone can do anything as long as they set their mind to it. obama has a lot of passion for his very good attempt at getting elected as president.

I think that Obama would good job if he would be elected. He has a good chance to win the election and I think Obama should be, because it is kind of weird that no african american was a president before even though there are many african american in the us.
