Kerry will not enter Presidential Race

An emotional Senator John F. Kerry today said he will not run in the 2008 presidential race and vowed to use his Senate perch to hasten an end to the war in Iraq, saying he would work with lawmakers from both parties to reverse President Bush's troop "surge" and force him to withdraw virtually all troops from Iraq by early next year. Kerry's decision to stay out of the presidential race reflects a realization that he would have had an uphill climb in capturing the Democratic nomination, given the other party heavyweights who are already in the race, according to Kerry associates.

If Kerry is elected there will be more room for criticism. Kerry and the democrats will be helpful to defeat Bush. Kerryhad said he will bill by his Massachusetts colleague to require Bush to seek fresh authorization to send additional troops to Iraq and I'm with him on this.

Kerry has made a good choice of not entering the Presidential Race. First of all, it is too late. Other people already have started their campaign, and for him to pick up with the other Democratic candidates to capture the nomination is highly unlikely.

I really think that Kerry made a bad decision because Kerry has the ability to win the election and become a president.

if he didn't win already, he probably wasn't going to this time. i think he is right in doing this to give other people a chance and hopefully he can make an impact in the senate.

This is such a shame considering how close he was to winning about 3 years ago. I think he would've had an upper leg to the other candidates because he's already campaigned for the presidency. He would've been at least 3rd. Hilary Clinton and Obama do have better popularities though. They'd probably get the young votes whereas Kerry might've been able to catch the middle aged to senior votes because of his experience. I commend him for not shirking on his Senatorial duties like *cough* McCain *cough* by taking on a campaign while still holding a high government office.

I believe it was good that kerry is not deciding to run in this 2008 presidential election because it would be hard for him. I believe it is great that he is taking a stand against Bush in the Senate and is helping to get our boys home!

It always saddens me to see a potential candidate drop out of the race of Presidency. Kerry demonstrates his loyalty to politics as he claims to continue to support the Democratic Party in the attempts to reverse President Bush's decisions of the war in Iraq. It's nice to hear that although he's out of the Presidential Race, he'll still contribute and aid his political party.

I think that if a person wants to be a President they shoul've get ready a long time ago and all planned out. I think that Kerry made smart choice and he is not ready to run for president.

I think Kerry had made a good choice. Like what nice guy said even if he started to run he probably would've not won anyway since everyone else already started. And he made the choice to contribute and help the house by trying to get the troops out of Iraq. Maybe if he ran on 2012 he would win the election since he will have a better image after this.

I feel like he's given up the seat of president forever. It's however, a good devotion that he'd put for serving the Congress. I agree with him saying to reinforce the care in Iraq War.
