Jorica Salinas Tep and her husband, Thanh Luong, are charged with forcing Tep's family members in prostitution. The couple took pictures of Tep's family members in lingerie and posted them on the Internet. The family members, who were a teenage girls, provided service to individuals for the exchange of money which was advertised on the website. The neighbors of the apartment complex claimed that they did noticed strange activity. Court documents showed evidence that Tep would take a man to the apartment and force the teenage girls to service him. The couple was charged $300 for every sex act.
By forcing the teenage girls to expose themselves, the couple violated the teenage girls' rights. This borders on slavery since the teenage girls had no choice but commit the immoral acts. This is a clear violation of the 13th amendment where slavery and "involuntary servitude...shall be unduly convicted." I believe the couple should have recieved a harsher punishment for exploting the teenage girls' bodies for quick cash. The girls are now scarred for life with embarassment and shame.

Oh wow...I wonder why the court didn't also take custody away from the parents. And JUST 300 for every sex act? I agree. That's too lenient. They should be forced to pay a whole lot more AND get imprisoned for the years of exploition. THese are just horrible parents who abused their poor children. I hope the "customers" all get caught and charged with rape.
why would the parents even do that to their family members thats extremely wrong.. prostitution is wrong especially if its children or teenagers.. they should definitely get punished way more.
The punishment given to the parents who've conducted such disturbing actions to their children, must be charged with far more serious penalties. The children's rights were taken away through the 13th amendment as they were treated like slaves and forced to perform sexual deeds to clients. I believe that the parents must be put into prison, and the children be put up for adoption, this way giving them an opportunity to live a better life.
oh my gosh. The teenager girl's rights are definately violated. Not only, the couple has violated their rights but now the teenager girls are "scarred for life with embarassment and shame" (ching). The couple should be punished with a higher degree.
I can't imagine being in those girls' shoes. It must be terrible. I definitely agree with you saying that the couple deserved stronger punishment. They wouldn't have done it for sure if the girls were their own children.
who do they have to pay the 300 dollars to.. it should be the girls. thats not a big enough punishment anyway. they were using their kids like slaves wich they are not.
I think the fine should be much more than $300 dollars because this is not right.. so they should be charged with more fines and punishment.
